Almost There!

There are two short weeks left until I leave for Australia! This past week has been very hard for me, the shock of leaving is finally starting to kick in, leaving me scared, excited and anxious. I have never felt so many emotions about one thing before, it's very strange. I have done alot of my shopping and only need a couple of things before I leave. There are a few things that I have left to do here, such as take some pictures of my friends and town and get some more gifts to hand out in Aussie! The next time that I blog, I bet I will be there, it is crazy for me to believe that in two weeks my dream is going to become a reality and I am SO excited!

The Last Stretch

So it is now just about a month until I leave to go to Australia for a year. After knowing where I'm jetting off to for about three months now i have not had any nerves. It is now down to the last month and I can't control my emotions. Days go by where i am so excited, feeling like nothing can stop me, then the next i am nervous, scared by the thought of leaving. There is no doubt in my mind that this is going to be the greatest year of my life, don't get me wrong i will enjoy every minute of living in the place that is a dream world for me. There are no words to describe the feelings that I have for this extremely rare opportunity. i cant wait to leave and will keep everyone posted on what im doing!

My new home in, Geelong

Yesterday I was told what city that i am going to be living in. Its a city that is about a hour west of Melbourne called Geelong. So far I haven't done too much research but it looks beautiful and its is right on the ocean. I cannot wait because I absolutely love the ocean and I cant wait to be there to see it hopefully everyday. I have been told that I am going to The Geelong College for the school year so i really want to be able to get my credits. It would be icing on the cake!

Anyways, ill keep you informed on any new news that i find interesting and anything that i hear about my new home!

Still Just as Excited

It has been just over a week since I found out that I am going to Australia on my exchange. My enthusiasm to go is still going strong. After the shock factor went down a bit I started to realize what a great opportunity this is. There are so many things that i hope that will be able to do while i am there that I would have never been given the chance to do it I wasn’t in this program. There is only four more months to go before this extraordinary journey will start. Im counting down the days!

Happiest Day of My Life, Im off to AUSTRALIA

Today was the day that i found out what country I am going to. As I was called up i stood there with the closed envelope, my legs were shaking and my heart was racing. I open the envelope and read AUSTRALIA! At that moment I don’t think that I realized what had really just happened. In was going to live in my dream country for a year! There really is nothing more exciting than having your dreams come true like I did today.

One Week

Only one week left!! By this time next week i'll know where i'll be going !!!!

The anticipation is killing me!

Every time I hear someone ask me where it is that I’m going it makes me more and more anxious to find out where i am going. There are only 9 more days until i find out what country I will be calling home for a year. I have been counting down from about 50 days and now that it is in single digits I can’t contain my EXCITMENT! The places that i could go are; Chile, Brazil, Ecuador, Germany, Austria, Demark, Switzerland, Finland, France, Japan, Thailand, New Zealand and Australia. I don’t have my mind set to any one place because I know that anywhere I end up going to is going to be the experience of a life time! The countdown to this day has me so excited that I can’t help but to talk about it all the time. Wondering, will I be going to Germany? Chile? New Zealand? To me the possibilities are endless. Next time that I post, I plan on telling you exactly where I am going!!
